Neighbors' Bookshelf

A simple idea: put a bookshelf in the shared space of an apartment building. Leave a book you loved, take one you have not read.

I started it, found like-minded volunteers, and watched it spread from 2014 to 2019. Low tech, high trust, and it made neighbors talk to each other again.
